A 3rd generation Floridian, Brian Sawyer was born 1984 in Lakeland, Florida. Sawyer's father and grandparents played an early and long-lasting role in cultivating his passion for fishing and all kinds of water sports. Even as a toddler, Brian loved to roam his grandparents' Homosassa dock with a fishing pole in hand.

Much of Sawyer's boyhood was spent fishing the flats of Homosassa and the retention ponds of Polk County. Brian's fishing diversity and skills took a leap at the age of 13 when his family began to frequent the Florida Keys in Seababy, their 35' Intrepid, fishing and diving all along the way. The obsession progressed as the family began to spend many weeks at a time in the Bahamas, just fishing and diving all of the islands they could grip.

The first boat Sawyer could actually call his own was given to him by his father at the age of 20. Sawyer began pulling the 16' skiff from coast to coast in search of new species and techniques, and picking up different fishing methods from the places he stayed and people he fished with.

While attending Florida State University in Tallahassee, Sawyer found a whole new playground to fish. He learned the North Florida fishing style and discovered the regions from Yankeetown up the coast to Panama City and over to Jacksonville.

In 2008 Captain Sawyer partnered with Mark Cruz to create Sticken Pigz Productions, a film company dedicated to showing a candid look at fishing and the real-life situations that arise on the water every day. The Captain is constantly gaining new information and discovering new areas to better his understanding of fish behavior and what it takes to catch them.

Mark was born in Lakeland, FL in 1984. Growing up Mark was fortunate to have family that enjoyed fishing throughout the state of Florida. When he was young, Mark's father owned several inshore skiffs which gave him the opportunity to grow a passion for the sport of fishing. Looking back, he remembers catching numerous redfish, trout, and snook along the south shore of Tampa Bay. As he got older he ventured south with his father on vacations to Charlotte Harbor chasing snook along the beaches and redfish on the surrounding flats. When he turned 18, Mark moved to Orlando, which put him closer to the water than he'd ever been. He took advantage of the situation by fishing the areas of Mosquito Lagoon and the Indian River almost every afternoon.

Upon moving back to Lakeland in 2004, he teamed up with Capt. Brian Sawyer to fish a trail of inshore fishing tournaments, which they are in constant friendly competition with each other. Since then, they have traveled all over the state learning tactics and skills together which they apply to their home waters. Mark and Brian created Sticken Pigz Productions in 2008, at first it was just a different way to see themselves fish on the big screen. As equipment got better and funds grew it became a reality they would explore. Mark's foremost passion is redfish and he is always roaming the shallow flats and bays for any signs of the spotted-tailed-fish of the shallows.
