The Southeast Region Report Dolphin & Permit 06-05-10

Dolphin is on fire in the Keys and the entire SE region. Permit sre right behind, invading the recks in the spawning season, get em' why the getn's good. Look for the light colored spots on top of the wrecks in 50' - 150' of water. Ballyhoo is the ticket for the dorados, any skirt color will work, they seem to be taking the pink skirts with an attitude! Permit is on fire, we have been using siler dollar size crabs on 1/2oz jighead drifting the wrecks. However they are very easy to sight cast with good light conditions. Sails are on fire as well, get a slow approach and start to chum up the water when you see the fins, wait till they come boat side and toss them a nice live threadfin, game ON!
